We are seeking to employ a Recovery Manager (SQL Programmer) for storm recovery projects, associated with the Hurricane Sandy Build it Back Program in New York City.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Design and Construction seeks experienced SQL Programmer/Analysts, who under direct supervision, with moderate latitude for independent action or the exercise of independent initiative and judgment, will be responsible for the design, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of Agency Reporting applications, and/or related software functions. Candidate must have the ability to conduct complex statistical analysis of Agency performance metrics and develop detailed reports, charts and graphs based on various mathematical models, and will engage in work related to the above areas or may independently perform related work of a highly complex, technical nature. The candidates will also be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed documentation including writing and updating technical specifications. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services and data visualization tools. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics or Engineering. Minimum 5 years professional reporting experience.

We are looking to employ a Project Manager who has extensive experience working on rail/track projects in the Northeast Corridor of the United States.

Qualifications

Qualifications     Must have a minimum of 10-15 years’ of experience Four year college degree in Engineering Professional Engineering license required Experience managing rail projects in the Northeast corridor of the United States Demonstrated experience managing project cost/budget, scope, schedule, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing formal planning, tracking, and reporting project performance Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or program management role Knowledge of local and national building codes, ADA requirements and familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety requirements on construction projects RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate Architect/Engineers, contractors and respective contracts Coordinate schedule and budget information and must be able to identify when the need to intervene arises Ability to review project documents (drawings, specifications, RFI’s, schedules, etc.) and evaluate the completeness for the respective phase of design and/or construction Responsible for managing the quality of the project(s) and manage facility to ensure successful completion as it relates to “on time” and within budget Must familiarize and develop a strategy to coordinate the requirements/needs of all interested parties (Board of Education, designers, contractors, user groups and the community) Must be able to analyze requested changes and to manage the change process.
