Sweett Group is recruiting for an Assistant Cost Consultant to be based from our London office situated near Chancery Lane tube.

Working in this role will involve supporting senior team members in the delivery of high quality cost and procurement consultancy for internal and external clients across the retail sector. It will see the successful candidate progressively taking increasing ownership of pre and post contract project service delivery to produce positive outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities will include -

• Undertaking the preparation of simple cost plans and estimates and contribute to the development of more complex pieces of work under supervision
• Contributing to the preparation of tender documentation
• Measurement of drawings
• Assisting in the tendering and procurement of contractors for projects
• Monitoring project costs in line with approved budget
• Assisting in financial reporting of a project in post contract phase

To be suitable for the role you will need prior experience working in a consultancy environment, and will have had to worked in the retail environment previously. You should be keen to achieve MRICS status and prepared to enrol on our APC programme.
